Nearly everything! In fact, the rainbow can be used in so many different ways that it is almost impossible to list all the game variations. The rainbow invites you to play freely and accordingly there is no need for instructions or rules, because they would set limits where there need not be any. However, we do not want to limit your imagination with our products, but rather to inspire it! Free play happens intuitively and out of curiosity and joy of playing and discovering. And because we are convinced of the importance of free play for healthy child development, it has been a matter close to our hearts for more than four decades. But in order to bring free play out into the world and make it accessible to all, we naturally like to nudge your imagination a bit through inspiration. So here are a few of the many, many possibilities of what you can do with the rainbow: Playhouse, Castle, Ball Run, Tower, Balance Game, Sorting, Tunnel, Bridge, Laying Pictures, Car Race Track, Redoubt, Doll's Cradle, Fence, Sculptures, .... For more inspiration on all our products, check out our Instagram @grimmswoodentoys or especially for the rainbow use the hashtag #grimmsrainbow.
It really depends on the size of the rainbow. All our products are tested and evaluated by the toy safety.
In this regard, our large rainbows (12- and 10-pieces) are already approved for ages 0 and up, because there is no danger for small children. Nevertheless, we recommend the large rainbow only from 3 years, because that is the age from which the child can really do something with the large rainbow and use its potential.
The medium rainbows (6 pieces) are released for an age of one year, because it has smaller parts than the large rainbow, but still fits wonderfully for children from one year. And here the age rating and our age recommendation actually match, because we also find that children with one year can already play really well with the medium rainbow.
The small rainbows (6 pieces) are approved from a safety perspective from 3 years and here too our age recommendation is consistent with this. The smaller parts are particularly suitable for older children who no longer put everything in their mouths and whose fine motor skills have already been trained a bit.
We would like to give a small additional tip at this point: Of course, it is also a good idea to simply buy the large rainbow directly - even for your still quite young child - but to put away a few of the large bows for the time being and only offer the smaller three to six parts. Then you can gradually add the bows with growing age. In this way, all parts are large or small enough at any time.
The rainbow comes in nine different colours and four different sizes. However, not every colour comes in every size.
The large 12-piece rainbow comes in classic, pastel, natural, monochrome, forest green and meadow green.
The medium-sized rainbow consists of 10 pieces and was previously only available in the world of numbers variant and now brand new in the variants neon pink and neon green.
The 6-piece rainbow is available in the colours classic, pastel and nature.
The small 6-piece rainbow is available in the colours classic, pastel, nature and monochrome.
The answer is of course: NO! ... But: We design toys that visually appeal not only to children through their natural simplicity and special colours. How great is it, when the children's toys also find a place in the living room, because they simply please the whole family. Meaning: even if the rainbow was bought by adults because of its appearance, it is of course so much more than just a decorative item. This becomes clear at the latest when you look at it more closely and perceive it with all your senses. Its special feel invites you to touch and explore it. That's why we are of course happy about every rainbow that adorns a shelf somewhere, but in the best case within reach of small and large hands that fill it with life again and again.
